Présentation

History

Guigone de Salins who would eventually go on to marry the Chancellor Nicolas Rollin, spent a brief period of her childhood in this house. Her face can be seen etched into the stone above the entrance to the Fatien's private home in Rue Marey. This face will remain to posterity like the famous Hospice which she founded with her husband in 1443.

The love affair with Beaune is passed from generation to generation thanks to the local wine businesses. After having served as one of the homes of the Count Liger-Belair, Maison Jadot then stabled their horses on the ground floor, lodged their personnel on the first floor and stored hay in the attic. The pulley, on the top floor, in Rue Sainte Marguerite, is evidence of this. And of course, wine was stocked in the cellars which date back to the XIV century.
